I got this recipe from the Kansan 1967 issue of silver spoon cookbook.It is pretty good.
Banana Tea Bread

13/4 cup flour,sifted
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup bananas, mashed
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Beat shortening until creamy. Add sugar gradually. Beat until light and creamy. Add eggs and flour. Mix with banana. Bake in 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3-inch pan(loaf). Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
* mine was done at 1 hour.
This is very good bread.
