Pumpkin Date Bread

This bread is in the oven right now ,smells so good.
Pumpkin Date bread
Mrs. Henry Workman
1 cup fresh dates ( I used package dates, already chopped)
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup canned pumpkin( I used the whole 15 oz can)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
2 Tablespoons grated orange rind
1/2 cup orange juice
3 cups package biscuit mix
Chop dates. Combine dates, sugar, egg, pumpkin, salt, spice, orange rind and juice. Add biscuit mix. Beat briskly 30 seconds. Turn into well greased loaf pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool before slicing.

I just realized I don`t like dates lol
