eeek..... a mouse

I moved the little bitty chickens pen that is temporarly in the welsummer chicken pen for right now.Out jumped 3 little field mice, where r the two cats when u needed them,needless to say I screamed, yes I am scared of mice that run in front of you.In their nest was three little ones, no hair,eyes not open, squeking away, I found them after the rooster found one and starting running around the pen with one in his beak. I picked up the other two and started calling for the two cats. Snow the momma cat sneared her nose at them , like what this, I don`t like babies ,not enough to sink my teeth into, the younger cat gobble them up.I can not believe that field mice have babies this time of year, in the dead of winter.
